It’s been 1282 days since you died, I’m forgetting you’re not here less and less. Your laugh, your stubbornness, ’sheesh’, I wish I knew you better… When I look in the mirror, I realize the little pieces of me that are just like you. Thanks for being a great dad who always had the right answer, always knew the fix, always did the right thing, and for the softball glove, I still use your glove and think about you the entire game; You broke it in well, and it fits my hand as well as it fit yours.
I hope that you would be proud of me; I never told you but I was always proud to be your son, proud of our family. You were a good man, Bob Smith, and an even better dad.

I’m not going to lie and pretend that I paid a lot of attention during US History. It was never interesting to me; my idea of history was Chris Columbus, some pilgrims, some indians, the Declaration of Independence/Constitution/Bill of Rights, Louis and Clark, Civil War, Wright Brothers, WW1, WW2, John F. Kennedy, Vietnam War, Reagan, Gulf War, Read my lips, I did not have sexual relations with that woman, then along came Bush(43). However, I’ve always been fascinated with Ben Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, et al. Being from (near) Philadelphia, we visited the Liberty Bell, and the area is flooded with loads of great tid bits of history. Something that you take for granted until moving to an odd place like Florida. So, with this fascination and subconscious wanting for a little bit of Philly/New Jersey/New England flavor I decided to watch the first episode of John Adams on HBO. I never got into Elizabeth, nor some of the other ‘factual’ mini series. Band of Brothers was probably the last mini series (non-fiction) that I really got into. However, that had war and action to fall back on. Would John Adams be just a bunch of talking and signing of documents and tea dumping and two if by land and one if by sea?

McDonalds has announced that beginning in 2008, over 14,000 McDonalds restaurants will have new coffee bars installed –complete with McBaristas. The new offerings will include lattes, cappuccinos, and smoothies. I personally have a few issues with the mega-muncher delving into the world of caffeine fiends.

Thanks to those that have emailed me questions and support for the previous post and videos. To give a better indication of what I like and don’t like about Verizon’s new software, check out the video below. I’ve narrated while pointing out different items and have hopefully just condensed down the previous post into one short video. Click ‘Read the Rest of This Entry’ to view the video!

So you might have noticed that the Google Ads that used to adorn the sidebars are now missing. I don’t get that many hits, and even less clicks on the advertisements. Over this past week I thought about it quite a bit and came to the conclusion that I’d rather not advertise on my site if I can avoid it. I currently pay out of pocket for all of the hosting and do all of the work myself (with the help from Wordpress).

I remember Call of Duty 2 on the 360; I remember very vividly waiting in line in November and October 2005 at Best Buy to play and how the game just looked awesome. The first ‘next’ gen game I played and it was great. The graphics, the sounds, the gameplay; amazing! Fast forward a year to Call of Duty 3 and I wasn’t so impressed because of the 20 other games I was playing at the time. I played a bit at the store and at a friend’s house; but that was it.
